Directed and implemented ADL’s international, national, and regional civil rights, interfaith, fundraising, education training, public affairs, and legislative programs/policies in New Jersey.
Worked with civil rights leaders, law enforcement, and a bipartisan coalition of legislators to enact a variety of bills and programs to combat racial profiling in New Jersey which resulted in the New Jersey State Police and the Attorney General’s office contracting with the ADL’s A World of Difference diversity training program, which was an essential component of changing the culture of the New Jersey State Police.
In conjunction with the Governor’s Office, Attorney General, the State legislature revised and reenacted New Jersey’s bias crime statutes.
Developed bipartisan congressional coalition to support enactment of an expanded
Federal bias crime statute which included sexual orientation.
Primary statewide advisor, leader, and spokesperson combatting anti-Semitism and anti- Israel programs and media campaigns.
In cooperation with law enforcement agencies at the federal, state and local level, developed, organized and implemented over 50 community-based security and crime prevention programs.
Coordinated all interaction with the media, civil rights/interfaith leaders, law enforcement, educators, small and large businesses, legislators and other government officials.
Marketed and entered into contracts with school districts and other government entities
providing diversity training.
Created New Jersey’s largest statewide interfaith program (Solidarity Seder).
