Organized and directed all government relations, grassroots organizing and training, political operations, lobbying programs, media campaigns designed to promote the unions’ position on collective bargaining, privatization, proper treatment for the developmentally disabled, civil rights, international trade and all political issues of concern to AFSCME.
 

Served as a lead coordinator in promoting H.R. 3600 (Health Security Act), the Clinton Plan.

Served as primary lobbyist for the state of New Jersey, representing 40,000 members regarding State and Federal political and legislative issues.
